Leland Best

Leland has worn many hats over the past 35+ years. In fact, he’s been working with computers and the internet since their inception. Leland began his career as an accountant, which led him to become a “Dispersement Analyst” at General Motors, handling accounts that amounted to over $5 Million a month. After a near-fatal motorcycle accident in 1986, he followed a career path into Civil Engineering. Starting at the bottom rung as a “Reproductions Technician” (a.k.a. blueprint operator), peaked as a Sr. CAD Designer in 1995. and went out on his own to open DAI (Draft All Ink), and has been running his own companies ever since. During a 25 year career as a Civil Designer, his home office served several Fortune 500’s such as: Ameritech, AT&T, Sprint, Omnipoint, Atwell-Hicks, Inc., and Giffels-Webster Engineers (GWE). He even moonlighted as a Karaoke DJ working for “All Star Entertainment” in the mid 2000s. Other skills and certifications include: Automotive Design (1985-86), Radio/TV Production (1983-present), Firefighting (2001-2005), and Fire/Water Damage Restoration – Structural and Electronic (2010-2013) . As a couple, Leland and Jenna ran “Best Auto Spa”, a complete full-service automotive detail shop located in downtown Corunna, MI, with 4-5 regular employees, serving nearly every local dealership within a 25 mile radius. The couple now call the Shiawassee River their home, where they spend their time trying to make the world a little better place.
